Candor man arrested on drug charge following suspicious person complaint

CANDOR — The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested David A. Del Mauro, age 43, of Candor, following an investigation of a suspicious person complaint in the Village of Candor on July 17.

As a result of the investigation, Del Mauro was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Del Mauro was given an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Candor Court on Aug. 18.

In a separate incident, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mark K. Brown, age 57, of the Town of Owego on July 14 on multiple charges.

Brown faces two counts of reckless endangerment in the second degree, two counts of menacing in the second degree, and criminal contempt in the first degree.

The charges resulted from an investigation into a harassment complaint in the Town of Owego.

Brown was arraigned at CAP Court in front of Justice Bennett and was released.

He is scheduled to appear at the Town of Owego Court on a later date.
