SPRINGFIELD — A 51-year-old Springfield man has been charged with retail theft following an incident at Penguin Market last month.
Michael Runnells was issued a citation July 3 at 1:42 p.m. after police investigated an alleged theft that occurred June 14 at 8:25 a.m., according to the Springfield Police Department.
Sgt. Fitzgibbons investigated the incident and determined there was probable cause to charge Runnells with retail theft.
Runnells is scheduled to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on Aug. 19 at 8:30 a.m.
The incident was assigned case number 25SF002583.
