WELLS — A 40-year-old New York man died Sunday after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle on Vermont Route 30 near South Street.
Vermont State Police responded to the crash at 3:35 p.m. July 27.
Ricky Chandler of Granville, N.Y., was riding a 1994 Kawasaki ZX-7R motorcycle northbound on Route 30 when he collided with a 2023 Jeep Gladiator that was turning onto the highway from South Street.
The Jeep was operated by Joy Brewster, 58, of Wells.
Chandler sustained significant injuries and was transported to Glen Falls Hospital, then to Albany Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
Chandler was not wearing a seatbelt, while Brewster was wearing hers.
The motorcycle was totaled in the crash, while the Jeep sustained minor damage.
Brewster was not injured.
Road conditions were dry and weather was cloudy at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
