WORCESTER — Three juveniles were arrested on firearm charges after police responded to a ShotSpotter activation on Hudson Street at approximately 4 a.m. July 26.

Worcester Police officers located a vehicle near the ShotSpotter activation and approached it due to concerns there could be a victim inside.

Three juveniles were found inside the vehicle.

A rear passenger falsely identified himself to officers and was told to step out of the vehicle.

Officers noticed a cross-body bag in the vehicle and found a firearm inside the bag.

Since no one inside the vehicle claimed ownership of the firearm, all three juveniles were placed under arrest.

The Crime Scene Unit recovered and processed the gun.

The juveniles are charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of a firearm without an FID card, and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
