PITTSFIELD — A Connecticut driver crashed into a grassy embankment Sunday morning after losing control of his pickup truck on a wet Vermont highway.
Hayden Lindsay, 46, of Fairfield, Connecticut, was driving south on Route 100 near Bakers Road at approximately 7:41 a.m. when he was unable to maintain control of his 2019 Ram 1500, according to Vermont State Police.
The vehicle exited the east side of the roadway and came to rest after colliding with the embankment.
Lindsay sustained suspected minor injuries in the crash and was wearing a seatbelt, police said.
The truck suffered moderate damage to its front bumper and rear right corner.
Weather conditions at the time included clouds and rain, with wet road conditions reported.
The Pittsfield Fire Department assisted Vermont State Police at the scene.
No citations were issued in connection with the crash.
