BRUNSWICK — State Police with assistance from the United States Marshals Service arrested Tyliek T. Rivers, 24, of Brooklyn, New York, on July 18 for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery.
Rivers faces three counts of robbery in the first degree, two counts of robbery in the second degree, assault in the second degree, grand larceny in the third degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
During the ongoing investigation, Rivers was identified as an additional individual allegedly involved in the robbery.
Rivers was located by the United States Marshals Service in New York City and transported to State Police Brunswick for processing.
He was arraigned at Brunswick Town Court where he was remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility without bail.
The charges stem from a Dec. 1, 2023, incident at about 4 p.m. in Brunswick where three men reportedly forcibly robbed a victim while they were in their vehicle.
During the incident, a handgun was allegedly displayed and used to threaten and strike the victim, causing injury.
The suspects allegedly stole multiple items from the victim and from within the victim’s vehicle before the victim fled to safety.
State Police previously arrested Malaki D. White, 23, of Cobleskill, New York, on Feb. 28, 2024, in connection with the same incident.
White faces the same charges and was remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility without bail.
