WESTBROOK — The Westbrook Police Department investigated a report of an assault that occurred at the Congin Elementary School on April 1.
It was alleged that an Educational Technician at the school assaulted a 6-year-old student.
Following a police investigation and prosecutorial review, an arrest warrant was sought and obtained for the suspect.
The suspect turned himself in to Westbrook Police early this morning.
He was arrested and transported to the Cumberland County Jail, and he has since made bail.
The suspect was identified as Dan Spring, a 62-year-old male from Portland.
The arrest warrant was for the charge of Assault.
