ORISKANY FALLS — A Pennsylvania man has been arrested on a weapons charge stemming from an incident in the Village of Oriskany Falls.

On July 22 at about 12:30 a.m., patrol deputies responded to the laundromat in the Village of Oriskany Falls for a reported verbal domestic dispute.

During the investigation, deputies learned that 26-year-old William Hoch from Biglerville, Pa., was in possession of an unregistered handgun which was not licensed in the State of New York.

Hoch, who did not have a New York State pistol permit, was arrested and transported to the Sheriff’s Office in Oriskany where he was charged by investigators within the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit with one count of criminal possession of a firearm, which is a Class E felony.

After processing, Hoch was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Augusta Town Court in August and released.
