New York man arrested on 86 child exploitation charges

BATH — New York State Police announced the arrest of Kyle Marshall, 23, of Prattsburgh following a comprehensive child exploitation investigation.

Marshall was arrested July 18 on 43 counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony, and 43 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.

The investigation was conducted by the State Police Bath Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Troop E Computer Crimes Unit, Troop E Forensic Investigation Unit, State Police Bath and State Police Wayland Uniform Force.

The investigation originated with a referral from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

On July 3, 2023, State Police executed a search warrant at 8154 County Route 77 in the town of Pulteney as part of the ongoing child exploitation investigation.

During the search, numerous electronic devices were seized for forensic examination by the Troop E Computer Crimes Unit.

The charges were filed following a Superior Court warrant issued by Judge Chauncey J. Watches returnable to Steuben County Court.

Marshall was processed at State Police Bath and transported to Steuben County Jail.
