Kingston cross burned outside church

KINGSTON — An unknown person set fire to an 8-foot-tall wooden cross in front of Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church on Albany Avenue at approximately 4:06 a.m. Wednesday.

The cross, which was installed by the church near their shrubbery, was the only thing damaged.

The Kingston Fire Department extinguished the fire before any further damage occurred.

Kingston Police Department is being assisted in the investigation by Kingston Fire Department, NYS Arson Task Force and the ATF.
