HOMER — Police are investigating a larceny from an unlocked motor vehicle that occurred overnight on South Main Street.
The vehicle was parked in a residential driveway between Albany Street and Copeland Avenue when the theft occurred, according to the Homer Police Department.
Police are asking residents in the area who have exterior security cameras or may have observed suspicious activity to contact them at 607-749-2028.
The department reminded residents to lock their vehicle doors, especially at night.
“Larcenies from vehicles occur within seconds and thieves are looking for something quick to steal such as change or currency and electronics,” police said in a statement.
