UTICA — A 15-year-old has been charged with robbery after allegedly pushing a 10-year-old off his bicycle and stealing property from him, police said.
Utica police units were dispatched to the 1400 block of Dudley Avenue on July 2 regarding a robbery investigation.
The 10-year-old victim was walking home from a store when another juvenile approached him, pushed him off his bicycle and stole property from him, according to police.
The case was assigned to the Juvenile Aid Unit.
Through investigation, including witness interviews and surveillance video, the 15-year-old suspect was identified.
On July 21, the 15-year-old was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Oneida County Family Court/Probation for robbery in the third degree.
The suspect’s name will not be released due to his age.
