South Royalton traffic stop leads to arrest on New Hampshire warrant

SOUTH ROYALTON — A Vermont State Police traffic stop Saturday evening led to the arrest of a woman wanted on drug charges in New Hampshire.

Lysette A. Caouette, 38, who is homeless, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. on South Windsor Street after troopers from the Royalton Barracks stopped a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation.

During the investigation, troopers identified Caouette as a passenger and discovered she had an active extraditable warrant from New Hampshire.

The warrant was for drug possession charges stemming from an incident in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Caouette was arrested without incident and processed at the Royalton Barracks.

She was then lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility.
