Rhode Island state police make 3 arrests in Wickford area

WICKFORD — Rhode Island State Police made three arrests Tuesday and early Wednesday, including a man wanted on a Providence Superior Court warrant.

At 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, troopers arrested Anthony Caraman, 39, of 93 Salina Street, Providence, on a full bench warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of breaking and entering from the Providence Police Department.

Caraman was located in the town of New Shoreham and transported to the Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

At 12:35 a.m. Wednesday, troopers arrested Evan Hartley, 36, of 105 Jenkins Street, Apartment 3, Providence, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Warwick.

Hartley was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.

He was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace before being released to a responsible adult.

At 1:46 a.m. Wednesday, troopers arrested Brian Donovan, 27, of 360 Sodom Road, Westport, Massachusetts, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 in North Kingstown.

Donovan was charged with reckless driving, first offense.

He was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace before being released to a responsible adult pending a future Third Division District Court date.
