ORISKANY FALLS — A Waterville man was arrested on drug possession and unlicensed driving charges following a traffic stop July 18.
James Winfield, 46, was stopped by an Oneida County Sheriff’s deputy on Broad Street around 2:42 p.m., according to Sheriff Robert Maciol.
Winfield was found to be operating with a revoked driver’s license.
During the stop, deputies located quantities of Suboxone and methamphetamine in Winfield’s possession.
Winfield was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building where he was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
Winfield also received multiple uniform traffic tickets related to the stop.
He is scheduled to appear in Town of Augusta Court at a later date.
