EAST BURKE — A 2024 Ram 2500 pickup truck rolled unoccupied into the Burke Mountain Hotel on July 16 at approximately 11:17 a.m.
Vermont State Police, East Burke Fire Brigade and Lyndon Rescue responded to multiple reports of a vehicle striking the building.
Emergency personnel found the truck empty upon arrival.
Investigation revealed the truck, owned by Eliminator Pest Control, had rolled down a hill from a parking area near the Mid-Burke Lodge.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
The truck sustained substantial front-end damage and was totaled.
Vermont Fire Marshalls and structural engineers were notified and are scheduled to assess the damage and supervise removal of the vehicle on July 17.
