STURBRIDGE — Police are searching for a woman dressed entirely in black who made suspicious visits to multiple homes on Goodrich Road on July 17.

The woman, wearing a hoodie and surgical mask and accompanied by a white dog in a sweatshirt, approached residents at 6:53 p.m. telling them she wasn’t feeling well.

One family provided her with water before she left their property.

A second family reported that a woman matching the identical description requested to use their restroom around the same time.

Police conducted a comprehensive search with assistance from Wales Police, Southbridge Police and Massachusetts State Police.

The operation included door-to-door inquiries and searches of wooded areas, but the woman’s whereabouts could not be determined.

Similar reports were received during overnight hours of July 14-15 involving a woman matching the same description in the area.

Officers searched but were unable to locate the woman at that time.

While the woman appeared non-threatening to residents, police urge all residents to call the Sturbridge Police Department if approached by strangers requesting help.

No criminal activity has been confirmed, but the woman’s behavior has raised concerns among law enforcement.

Police have released a photograph of the woman and ask anyone who sees her to contact the Sturbridge Police Department.
