Man arrested on harassment charge in Brutus

BRUTUS — A 34-year-old Montezuma man was arrested July 11 on charges of aggravated harassment in the second degree.

Adam W. Wiggins was taken into custody around 10 p.m. by members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, according to Sheriff Brian Schenck.

A deputy responded to a residence in the Town of Brutus around 5:39 p.m. July 11 for a harassment complaint.

An investigation revealed that Wiggins had communicated a threat to cause harm to the victim’s property via telephone.

Wiggins was brought to the Public Safety Building for processing, where he was charged with the Class A misdemeanor and released on an appearance ticket.

He is scheduled to appear in Town of Brutus Court on July 22 at 7 p.m.
