Boston police arrest man on drug trafficking charges in Roslindale

BOSTON — Officers assigned to the Drug Control Units of District E-5 and E-13 arrested Marcus Hurt, 39, of Roslindale, for drug trafficking on Friday.

At about 12:06 p.m., officers were conducting a drug investigation in the area of 202 Dunwell Avenue, Roslindale.

Surveillance was made of the suspect exiting the building and he was stopped by officers at 4399 Washington Street.

Officers advised the suspect that they had a search warrant for his body and his residence.

A search was conducted, and $2,667 in U.S. currency was recovered from the suspect’s person.

Lawful entrance was made into an apartment and officers executed their search warrant.

The evidence that was recovered was a plastic bag containing 28 grams of crack cocaine, one plastic bag containing 18 grams of cocaine, and a digital scale.

Hurt was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court for trafficking of Class B substances.
