Shortsville man arrested on warrant at Hall Fire Department

HALL — A Shortsville man was arrested on an outstanding warrant Wednesday night at the Hall Fire Department.

James E. Hile II, 38, was taken into custody at 11:08 p.m. July 16 and charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and petit larceny.

Yates County Sheriff’s deputies received information at about 10:10 p.m. that Hile was staying at a residence in Ontario County.

Ontario County deputies checked the address and located Hile.

Hile was brought to the Hall Fire Department and transferred to Yates County Sheriff’s Office custody.

He was transported to the Yates County Jail where he is being held for CAP Court on July 17.

Deputy S. Walker was the reporting officer.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest.
