WEST GREENWICH — Rhode Island State Police arrested two people in separate traffic stops on Route 95 over a 24-hour period this week.
Troopers arrested Majanga Monewa, 27, of Houston, Texas, on Monday at 5:47 p.m. on an active warrant from the Cranston Police Department for reckless driving.
Monewa, who lives at 8800 Fondren Road, Apartment A254, was stopped on Route 95 in West Greenwich.
She was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, processed and then transferred to the Cranston Police Department.
On Tuesday at 1:00 a.m., troopers arrested Longxi Li, 34, of Flushing, New York, for possession of a controlled substance.
Li was charged with possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance over 10 grams but less than 1 ounce, first offense, for ketamine possession.
The arrest resulted from a traffic stop on Route 95 in West Greenwich.
Li, who lives at 3022 153rd Street, was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
He was later released pending a future court date.
