WEBSTER — A white male riding a blue Suzuki GSXR motorcycle robbed Hometown Bank at 4 Gore Road at approximately 8:30 a.m. today, according to Webster Police Department.
The suspect was last seen heading into Connecticut on Route 395 South at a high rate of speed.
Tellers notified the South Worcester County Communication Center, which immediately dispatched all available Webster Police officers.
The male mentioned a firearm during the robbery, but no gun was seen or shown, police said.
He made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
No one was injured during the incident.
Webster Police detectives and agents from the Worcester field office of the FBI processed the scene and collected evidence.
Connecticut State Police troopers also assisted, as investigators believe the suspect may have discarded evidence on Route 395 in Connecticut.
The investigation will be conducted jointly by all relevant agencies.
