SPRINGFIELD — A Pennsylvania man was arrested on a driving under the influence charge following a traffic stop late Saturday night.
Lonnie Griffiths, 55, of Montrose, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody at 11:57 p.m. June 21 after officers stopped his Ford Transit van for a moving violation.
During the traffic stop, officers detected signs of impairment, according to a Springfield Police Department press release.
After further investigation, police determined Griffiths was allegedly operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Griffiths was arrested without incident and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
He was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on July 8 at 8:30 a.m. to answer the DUI charge.
