WORCESTER — Worcester Police officers assigned to the Summer Impact assignment arrested a man with an active warrant and recovered suspected crack cocaine during a patrol on Lafayette Street.
On July 12 at about 11:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to a call for a man making threats possibly involving a firearm.
Upon arrival, the suspect had already fled the scene.
Officers saw a video of him and immediately recognized him as fifty-two-year-old Naheem Schuler of Illinois Street, who they knew had an active warrant for his arrest.
Officers checked the area for Schuler and quickly located him.
Schuler was placed under arrest for his warrant and a search revealed many individually packaged bags of what appeared to be crack cocaine.
Schuler was additionally charged with possession of a Class B substance.
