AUBURN — A 35-year-old Tonawanda man was arrested July 9 on charges of petit larceny in connection with thefts at Bass Pro Shops in the town of Aurelius.
Paul A. Tagliarino was arrested at 8:23 a.m. by Cayuga County Sheriff’s deputies, according to Sheriff Brian Schenck.
Deputies began investigating thefts at Bass Pro Shops on April 9.
The investigation revealed that Tagliarino had entered the store multiple times over several weeks.
Each time, Tagliarino would purchase goods while also taking other items, intentionally passing all points of sale and exiting the store without paying for them, according to the sheriff’s office.
Tagliarino turned himself in to the sheriff’s office and was released with an appearance ticket.
He is scheduled to appear in Town of Aurelius Court on July 30 at 7:00 p.m.
