Connecticut man arrested in Lewiston on charges involving minor

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Police Department received information July 12 that a 14-year-old female was at a local park waiting to be picked up by a 22-year-old man from Connecticut whom she had met online.

Officers quickly responded and located both individuals.

Following an investigation, Dmitriy Marker, 22, of Connecticut, was arrested and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, attempted sexual abuse of a minor, possession of sexually explicit material and dissemination of obscene material to a minor.

Marker is currently being held on $20,000 bail.

The Lewiston Police Department was assisted in the investigation by Homeland Security Investigations.
