MONTPELIER — A 42-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a burglary at the North Branch Nature Center on Elm Street.

Jessica Partlow was taken into custody July 11 after officers found her in a suspicious vehicle behind the Recreation Center on Barre Street at approximately 10:31 a.m. July 10, according to the Montpelier Police Department.

Partlow was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant after failing to appear in court on unrelated charges of burglary, grand larceny and operation of a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Bail was set at $500.

A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of property stolen from the North Branch Nature Center, police said.

Partlow was lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility for lack of bail on the outstanding warrant.

She was cited to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Washington Criminal Division on July 31 at 8:30 a.m. to answer charges of burglary, unlawful trespass, petit larceny and possession of stolen property in connection with the nature center incident.
