Cheektowaga woman arrested after police chase with 3 juveniles in vehicle

PENDLETON — A 40-year-old Cheektowaga woman was arrested early Sunday morning after leading police on a chase through multiple municipalities with three juveniles in her vehicle.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office received notification at 12:44 a.m. July 13 from the City of Tonawanda Police Department of an active vehicle pursuit entering Niagara County.

Police said the suspect vehicle, a black Chevrolet Spark driven by Lisa M. Pasco, had failed to yield during a traffic stop initiated by Tonawanda police.

The pursuit continued through the City of North Tonawanda and into the Town of Pendleton on Tonawanda Creek Road.

Deputy Gifford located the fleeing vehicle on Irish Road and joined the pursuit as it continued northbound on Bear Ridge Road.

The suspect vehicle attempted to turn onto West Canal Road, which is a dead end.

Deputy Gifford and City of Tonawanda Police Officer Chatelle boxed the suspect vehicle in and took the driver into custody without further incident.

The investigation determined three juveniles ranging in age from 12 to 14 years old had been present inside the vehicle during portions of the pursuit.

Pasco was transferred into the custody of the City of Tonawanda Police where she faces multiple charges including first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, reckless driving and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.
