BRUNSWICK — State Police arrested a 51-year-old Brunswick man Thursday on charges related to child sexual exploitation.
Jon B. Tanzman was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony, and possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.
The arrest followed an investigation that began with a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
State Police executed a search warrant at Tanzman’s Brunswick residence Thursday.
The investigation involved the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Tanzman was transported to State Police Greenwich where he was processed.
He was arraigned at Brunswick Town Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $30,000 bail.
