ALBION — A local woman is facing several charges after police say she committed multiple thefts and was found with illegal drugs during a series of incidents over the past week.
Shandell Lissow was first arrested July 6 after police received a report of lottery ticket theft from Kwik Fill, according to the Village of Albion Police Department.
Surveillance footage showed Lissow stealing two New York State Lottery scratch-off tickets valued at $3 and $5 from the store counter, police said.
Officers later located and arrested Lissow without incident.
She told police she had lost on both tickets and was processed and issued an appearance ticket before being banned from the store.
On July 9 afternoon, an East Avenue resident reported that Lissow entered his home under the pretense of using the bathroom and stole items from his bedroom, police said.
Video surveillance inside the residence confirmed the theft, according to police.
Officers searched known locations but were unable to locate Lissow at that time.
Later that night, patrol officers spotted Lissow near the Helpee Selfee Laundromat and took her into custody for the previous larceny report.
A search of her belongings revealed a crack pipe and suspected crack cocaine, police said.
She was processed and issued appearance tickets for both incidents.
On July 11 in the early morning hours, a Washington Street resident approached officers and reported that Lissow had entered his home, interacted with his children, asked to use a phone and then fled with the device.
Attempts to contact the stolen phone were unsuccessful, police said.
Charges are pending in that case.
