SANBORNTON — One person was shot multiple times Monday night and transported to a hospital, according to New Hampshire State Police.
State police responded to 502 Stage Road at 11:33 p.m. July 7 at the request of Sanbornton Police Chief Steve Hankard for a shooting investigation.
The victim was first taken to Franklin Hospital before being flown by medical helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment.
The shooting victim is expected to survive.
All parties believed to be involved have been identified and are cooperating with investigators, police said.
There is no known threat or danger to the community in connection with this incident.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending the ongoing investigation.
Members of the State Police Major Crime Unit have conferred with the Belknap County Attorney’s Office, and no charges have been filed at this time.
The incident remains under investigation by the Major Crime Unit and Troop E in cooperation with the Sanbornton Police Department.
