EDDINGTON — A 25-year-old Eddington woman died Tuesday morning when her vehicle struck a tree head-on, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
A sheriff’s deputy on routine patrol discovered the crash at 11:45 a.m. July 9 that appeared to have just occurred.
The woman was found dead inside her Toyota RAV4 after it struck the tree.
Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office detectives, drone team and forensic mappers are investigating the cause of the crash.
The Eddington Fire Department, Holden Fire Department and Maine Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
