CUBA — Cuba Police arrested a 43-year-old local man on multiple charges July 8 at approximately 9 p.m.
Brian E. Phearsdorf of Cuba was charged with unsafe tire, inadequate exhaust system, operating out of ignition interlock restriction, driving while ability impaired by alcohol, driving while intoxicated, obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree, resisting arrest, aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree and assault of a police officer in the second degree.
The unsafe tire and inadequate exhaust system charges are violations.
The operating out of ignition interlock restriction, driving while ability impaired by alcohol, obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest charges are misdemeanors.
The driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation and assault of a police officer charges are felonies.
Phearsdorf was processed and sent to Allegany County Jail on $2,000 bail.
One Cuba Police officer was treated by Cuba Ambulance and released.
