WAKEFIELD — A man was arrested this morning after striking vehicles with his hands and throwing items at cars stopped at a railroad crossing on Province Lake Road.
The Wakefield Police Department responded to the incident between 10 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. in the area of Pinewood Crossing.
Police said the subject was on foot in the roadway when he struck vehicles with his hands while they were stopped at the railroad crossing.
The man also threw items at vehicles, according to police.
The subject has been arrested and the threat to the public is no longer a concern, police said.
