Bronx man arrested for DWI after Potsdam crash

POTSDAM — New York State Police arrested Felipe Rosario, a 27-year-old Bronx resident, for driving while intoxicated on July 7.

Police responded to a property damage accident on U.S. Highway 11 in Potsdam at approximately 12:56 a.m.

Troopers observed a gray 2023 BMW 230 operated by Rosario traveling south on U.S. Highway 11 when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail.

Rosario exhibited signs of impairment during interviews with troopers.

He failed Standard Field Sobriety Tests administered at the scene.

Rosario was arrested and taken to SP Canton for processing.

A breath sample revealed Rosario’s blood alcohol content was 0.17%.

He was released with an appearance ticket to return to Town of Potsdam Court in August.

The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
