MACOMB — New York State Police arrested an 82-year-old Pennsylvania man for second-degree reckless endangerment July 8.
Troopers responded to State Route 58 in the town of Macomb at approximately 8:25 p.m. following a report of a gun or weapon complaint.
An investigation revealed that Glenn A. Heimbach of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, had discharged a firearm, causing a bullet to travel through a victim’s garage and exit into an area where a group of people had gathered.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
Further investigation revealed Heimbach was acting recklessly with his firearm while attempting to shoot at a coyote.
Heimbach was taken into custody and transported to State Police Ogdensburg for processing.
He was later released on an appearance ticket and is required to return to the Town of Macomb Court in August.
