CLARKSTOWN — A 36-year-old Monsey man was arrested on driving while intoxicated and child endangerment charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 87 early July 5.
Robens Altidor was pulled over by New York State Police troopers from SP Tarrytown at approximately 12:12 a.m. for speeding while driving a 2025 Acura southbound on I-87.
Troopers said Altidor exhibited signs of intoxication during the interview.
Altidor failed standardized field sobriety tests administered by troopers.
Three children — ages 16, 11 and 4 — were in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
The children were safely released to a sober third party.
Altidor was arrested and transported to SP Tarrytown for processing.
He provided a breath sample with a blood alcohol content of 0.09%.
Altidor was charged with three counts of acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17, driving while intoxicated first offense, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of 0.08% or higher first offense, and vehicle and traffic violations.
He is scheduled to appear in court July 30.
