WALTON — A 56-year-old Walton man is facing menacing charges after allegedly pointing a BB gun at victims and threatening them with bodily harm Wednesday.
Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a complaint of a man pointing a firearm at others in the town of Walton on July 2.
Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced that Allan Pettit was arrested following an investigation into the incident.
Deputies determined that Pettit had pointed a BB gun at the victims and threatened them with bodily harm.
Pettit was charged with two counts of menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.
He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Walton Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
