BRUTUS — Sheriff Brian Schenck reports that on June 29 at around 12:47 a.m., members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shannon R. Crader, age 41 of Marcellus, for DWI – First Offense, Aggravated DWI- Per Se, and other traffic infractions.
On June 28 around 11:58 p.m., members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office responded to East Brutus Street Road in the Town of Brutus for a motor vehicle accident.
Upon investigation, it was determined that a vehicle had been traveling east on East Brutus Street Road when the vehicle failed to maintain its lane and exited the roadway on the north side, striking a mailbox and a culvert pipe.
The driver and sole occupant, Shannon R. Crader, was found to be driving while intoxicated.
Crader was arrested and brought to the Public Safety Building, where she was processed and released on tickets returnable to the Town of Brutus Court on July 8 at 7 p.m.
