WINSLOW — Two men were arrested on aggravated drug trafficking charges following a months-long investigation by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Winslow Police Department.

Brian Gleason, 38, of Winslow, and Milciades Diaz-Soto of Charlestown, Massachusetts, were each charged with one count of aggravated drug trafficking, a class A felony.

The MDEA South Central Drug Task Force and Winslow Police had been investigating the sale of cocaine and fentanyl from a Winslow residence for several months.

On July 1, agents obtained a search warrant for Gleason’s residence.

MDEA, Winslow Police and Maine State Police executed the search warrant and arrested Gleason during a traffic stop.

During the search of the residence, agents seized 505 grams of cocaine, 7 grams of fentanyl, more than $2,000 in suspected drug proceeds and a loaded .38-caliber handgun.

The estimated street value of the cocaine is $62,500 and the fentanyl is valued at $1,400.

Both Gleason and Diaz-Soto are being held at Kennebec County Correctional Facility without bail pending their initial court appearance.

Additional charges are expected.
