Norwood man arrested on domestic charges after July 4 incident

NORWOOD — A 20-year-old Norwood man was arrested July 4 after police responded to a domestic argument at a village residence.

Joseph Leashomb had left the scene before Norwood Police arrived but was located shortly after with assistance from Norfolk Police Department.

Leashomb was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor.

He was arraigned in Norfolk court and released after an order of protection was issued for the victim.

Due to concerns for his mental health, Leashomb was taken to Claxton-Hepburn Hospital for evaluation.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending.
