Man injured in Pendleton fireworks accident continues recovery

PENDLETON — A 38-year-old Lockport man injured in a fireworks accident July 4 continues to recover from his injuries.

Stephen G. Ames was hurt while handling fireworks at 4978 Tonawanda Creek Road at 7:11 p.m., according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

Ames was transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.

The sheriff’s office said Ames continues to recover from his injuries.
