Man arrested on voyeurism, stalking charges in North Haven

NORTH HAVEN — Police arrested a 48-year-old Wallingford man on multiple voyeurism and stalking charges after two women reported seeing him looking through their bedroom window in May.

Shawn Cornell was initially arrested May 8 after officers responded to a report at The Flats apartment complex at 520 Washington Avenue.

The women told police they observed Cornell looking through their bedroom window, according to the North Haven Police Department.

Cornell was charged with stalking, voyeurism and breach of peace following the initial incident.

Detectives launched a comprehensive investigation and executed search warrants on Cornell’s cellular device.

Investigators discovered multiple files of voyeuristic media involving several female victims, police said.

An additional arrest warrant was secured for Cornell, who was arrested Friday.

Cornell was charged with three counts each of stalking in the second degree, voyeurism and breach of peace in the second degree.

He was released after posting a $50,000 court-set bond.
