BROOKFIELD — Brookfield Police were notified of a motor vehicle crash involving a car and an e-bike on Forty Acre Mountain Road at 4:06 p.m. July 4.
Police and EMS personnel responded to the scene.
The operator of the e-bike, a juvenile, was transported to the Danbury Hospital Emergency Department with serious injuries.
The parents of the juvenile were immediately located and notified.
The operator of the Audi sedan, Aaron Moniz of Brookfield, age 27, was uninjured and remained at the scene, cooperating fully with police.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the e-bike operated by the juvenile was southbound on Old Turnpike Road and drove onto Forty Acre Mountain Road.
The sedan operated by Moniz was westbound on Forty Acre Mountain Road and collided with the e-bike.
The area of the crash, at the intersection of Forty Acre Mountain Road and Old Turnpike Road, was closed until approximately 7 p.m. while police investigated.
