TAMWORTH — One person died following a single-vehicle crash Friday evening.
State Police dispatch received a report at 8:19 p.m. July 4 of a crash on Maple Road.
The caller reported that a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck had crashed into a tree and the driver was unconscious.
Troopers and members of the Tamworth Fire Department responded to the scene.
Members of the Tamworth Fire Department arrived first and rendered aid to the driver.
The driver was transported to an area hospital due to injuries suffered in the crash.
The driver was pronounced dead a short time after arriving at the hospital.
All aspects of the crash remain under investigation.
The identity of the driver is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
