MALONE — New York State Police responded to a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on State Route 11 in the town of Malone on July 3 at approximately 4:29 p.m.
The investigation revealed that a black 2023 Ford, operated by 38-year-old Kelly L. Helm from Chateaugay, N.Y., was traveling east on State Route 11 when a pedestrian was struck by Helm’s vehicle.
Members of the New York State Police and Malone Rescue provided life-saving measures to the pedestrian, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The pedestrian has been identified as 79-year-old Makhan Singh, a resident of Malone, N.Y.
This investigation is ongoing.
