MANCHESTER — A 35-year-old Manchester man was arrested twice within hours on domestic violence-related charges, police said Thursday.
Thomas Rogers was first arrested shortly before midnight July 3 after police responded to a Laurel Street address to check for a problem.
Officers learned that Rogers had assaulted a woman he knows, according to police.
Rogers was charged with simple assault-domestic violence and booked at the police station.
He was released at approximately 3:30 a.m. on personal recognizance bail with orders not to return to the victim’s address.
Around 6:30 a.m., Manchester police responded to the same address after receiving a 911 hang-up call.
The victim from the previous incident had left the address, but officers found Rogers at the home, police said.
Based on his bail conditions, Rogers was arrested a second time and charged with breach of bail and stalking-notice of order.
Rogers was booked and taken to Valley Street Jail, where he is being held.
