BETHEL — A 54-year-old Moretown man was arrested on a DUI charge after Vermont State Police found him parked in a travel lane on Interstate 89 early Thursday morning.
Andrew Balser was taken into custody at 11 p.m. Wednesday near Mile Marker 22 southbound after troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to reports of a vehicle parked in the travel lane.
Troopers observed indicators of impairment while speaking with Balser, according to police.
Balser was screened for suspicion of driving under the influence and subsequently arrested.
He was transported to the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks for processing, where he refused testing.
Balser was processed and released with a citation to appear before the Windsor County Superior Court – Criminal Division at a later date.
