1 min read

BELLINGHAM — The Bellingham Police Department received a 911 call reporting a physical altercation occurring in the roadway on South Main Street near Crooks Corner on Tuesday at approximately 9:50 a.m.

Responding officers arrived promptly but were unable to locate anyone involved at the scene.

Officers were notified shortly afterward that one of the vehicles possibly involved in the incident was located at the Irving Gas Station on Pulaski Boulevard.

The operator of the vehicle admitted to being involved in the altercation but declined to provide further details and refused medical attention.

No witnesses had come forward at the time, and the second individual involved remained unidentified.

Officers were made aware Wednesday of a video clip circulating online that appeared to show a portion of the altercation.

The footage led officers to identify the second individual involved, as well as an independent witness.

One of the individuals involved will be summoned to appear in Milford District Court on charges of disorderly conduct and negligent operation of a motor vehicle as a result of the follow-up investigation.

The name of the individual is being withheld pending formal arraignment.

The court date has not yet been scheduled.
