AUBURN — A traffic stop on Wall Street led to the arrest of a man on felony drug charges early Tuesday.
Members of the Auburn Police Department conducted the stop at approximately 2:49 a.m. on July 1.
During the investigation, officers found Kenneth Shelton in possession of multiple white chunk substances, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency.
The substances tested positive for cocaine base, commonly known as crack cocaine.
The total weight of the seized cocaine base was 3.8 grams.
Shelton was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third and fourth degrees, both felonies, as well as an equipment violation.
He was processed and transported to the Cayuga County Jail pending arraignment.
